Configuring iSCSI Chapter 43 Configuring iSCSI Send documentation comments to [email protected] About iSCSI Configuration Limits iSCSI configuration has the following limits: • The maximum number of iSCSI and iSLB initiators supported in a fabric is 2000. • The maximum number of iSCSI and iSLB initiators supported is 200 per port. • The maximum number of iSCSI and iSLB sessions supported by an IPS port in either transparent or proxy initiator mode is 500. • The maximum number of iSCSI and iSLB session support by switch is 5000. • The maximum number of iSCSI and iSLB targets supported in a fabric is 6000. Configuring iSCSI This section describes how to configure iSCSI on the Cisco MDS 9000 Family switches. By default, this feature is disabled in all switches in the Cisco MDS 9000 Family. To enable iSCSI on any participating switch, follow these steps: Step 1 Step 2 Command Purpose switch# config t Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z. switch(config)# feature iscsi Enables iSCSI on that switch. switch(config)# feature iscsi module Enables iSCSI modules on the switch.
