When the time limit configured by this command is exceeded, the shell exits and closes that session. The syntax for this command is exec-timeout minutes. The default is 30 minutes. You can configure different timeout values for a console or a virtual terminal line (VTY) session. You can set the exec-timeout value to 0 to disable this feature so the session remains active until you exit the switch.
