Renaming Zones, Zone Sets, and Aliases To rename a zone, zone set, fcalias, or zone-attribute-group, follow these steps: Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Command Purpose switch# config t Enters configuration mode. switch(config)# zoneset rename oldname newname vsan 2 Renames a zone set in the specified VSAN. switch(config)# zone rename oldname newname vsan 2 Renames a zone in the specified VSAN. switch(config)# fcalias rename oldname newname vsan 2 Renames a fcalias in the specified VSAN. switch(config)# zone-attribute-group rename oldname newname vsan 2 Renames a zone attribute group in the specified VSAN. switch(config)# zoneset activate name newname vsan 2 Activates the zone set and updates the new zone name in the active zone set.
