OTHERS 13-1 Alarm Indications and Actions (Cont'd) ● Warning Indications for VCR Abnormalities Should malfunctions occur during VCR operation, the unit self-diagnoses the cause and shows the diagnose together with an error code on the LCD monitor or in the viewfinder. Error code WARNING7001 DRUM MOTOR FAILURE Warning Error Code Error Details GY-DV5000 Operation Remedy 0201 Indicates dew formation Operation stops. All operations Leave the unit with the power ON, CONDENSATION ON DRUM (condensation) are rejected. until the indication disappears. 3200 LOADING FAILURE Tape cannot be loaded. 3300 UNLOADING FAILURE Tape cannot be unloaded. 4100 Irregularity with eject CASSETTE EJECT FAILURE operation. Switch the power OFF and then switch it back ON. However, the tape may be damaged depending on the circumstances. Please consult the person in charge of professional video equipment at your nearest JVC-authorized service agent. TAPE DEFECTIVE 5605 ~ 5609 Tape is cut. Operation stops. Press the EJECT button to take out the cassette. 5702 TAPE END DET. ERROR 5802 TAPE BEGIN DET. ERROR 7001 DRUM MOTOR FAILURE 7101 CAP MOTOR FAILURE Tape end sensor error. Tape beginning sensor error. Drum rotation error. Capstan rotation error. Operation stops. All operations are rejected. Switch the power OFF and then switch it back ON. However, the tape may be damaged depending on the circumstances. Please consult the person in charge of professional video equipment at your nearest JVC-authorized service agent. 7202 ~ 7203 Supply reel rotation error. SUPPLY REEL FAILURE 7302 ~ 7303 Take up reel rotation error. TAKE UP REEL FAILURE 7305 TAKE UP REEL FAILURE 7401 REEL MOTOR FAILURE Irregular tape winding when unloading. Reel motor rotation error. ■ TALLY lamp Blinks when remaining battery power or tape is low. (Only in Camera mode) Blinking Pattern Slow blinking (once per sec.) Fast blinking (four times per sec.) Remaining Battery/Tape ● Remaining battery power is low. ● Remaining tape time is equivalent to less than 3 minutes. ● Tape has run out. ● Irregularity has occurred in the VCR. 88 13. OTHERS ■ Viewfinder Warning Lamps 1. Battery lamp BATT REC ALARM 2. REC/ALARM lamp ■ Alarm Sound When remaining battery power becomes low, a warning sound is output from the monitoring loudspeaker and the PHONES jack. (In Camera mode only) When an irregularity occurs in the VCR, a warning sound is also output. 1. BATTERY lamp This red lamp lights red under the following circumstances. Lights red : When the battery voltage becomes too low for the camera to operate. 2. REC/ALARM lamp This lamp lights or blinks green under the following conditions. Lights Green : ● While recording Blinks Green : ● During the interval where the unit switches from record-standby to record mode. ● Immediately before the tape runs out or has run out. ● If the VCR malfunctions. Whether or not alarm sound should be output and the volume level are selected with the ALARM VR LEVEL item on the OTHERS (2/2) menu screen. ■ Depending on the alarm conditions, the warning indicators on the LCD monitor/viewfinder screen, the TALLY lamp, the viewfinder lamp, and alarm sounds appear as shown in the following table.
