Specifying the Network Settings You can automatically or manually set the IP address of the machine. Note 1 If you set the IP address as described below, you can operate the machine from the Web browser on a computer. Connect to the machine from a Web browser to specify the required network settings and e-mail settings, etc. For details, refer to Chapter 3, "Setting the Connection Environment" in the Message Board Guide. Introduction „„ Automatically Setting the IP Address If DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server is enabled, an IP address is automatically assigned to the machine. A gateway address and DNS server address will also be assigned if they are set on the DHCP server. Note The IP address and subnet mask assigned by the DHCP server cannot be changed. 11 Press . 22 Press [Management]. 33 If an administrator password is set, enter the password and press [Enter]. Specifying the Network Settings
You can automatically or manually set the IP address of the machine.
Note
If you set the IP address as described below, you can operate the machine from the
Web browser on a computer. Connect to the machine from a Web browser to specify
the required network settings and e-mail settings, etc. For details, refer to Chapter 3,
“Setting the Connection Environment” in the Message Board Guide.
Automatically Setting the IP Address

If DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server is enabled, an IP address is
automatically assigned to the machine.
A gateway address and DNS server address will also be assigned if they are set on the
DHCP server.
Note
The IP address and subnet mask assigned by the DHCP server cannot be changed.
Press <Setting>.
