Copying Functions Split Copying Copy books, magazines, etc. with two facing pages of an open-faced original onto separate sheets of paper. Two-sided to One-sided 1 1 2 2 Copies each side of a two-sided original onto two individual sheets. The optional document processor is required. Original Copy 4 Book to One-sided 1 2 1 Produces a 1-sided copy of a 2-sided or open book original. 2 Original Copy The procedure for using two-sided/duplex copying is explained below. 1 Place the originals on the platen. 2 Press [Split], select the type of original, and select or to light up the corresponding display. 3 Press Start to start scanning. If the originals have been set in the optional document processor, copying starts automatically. If the original has been set on the platen, a message prompting replacement of the original is displayed. In this case, proceed to the next step. 4 Replace the original and press the Start key. Split Copying
Copy books, magazines, etc. with two facing pages of an open-faced original onto separate sheets of paper.
Two-sided to One-sided
Copies each side of a two-sided original onto two
individual sheets. The optional document processor is
required.
Book to One-sided
Produces a 1-sided copy of a 2-sided or open book
original.
The procedure for using two-sided/duplex copying is explained below.

Place the originals on the platen.

Press
[Split]
, select the type of original, and select
or
to light up the corresponding
display.

Press
Start
to start scanning.
If the originals have been set in the optional
document processor, copying starts automatically.
If the original has been set on the platen, a
message prompting replacement of the original is
displayed. In this case, proceed to the next step.

Replace the original and press the
Start
key.
Scanning of the original is performed.

After scanning all originals, press the
OK
key to
start copying.
