System Menu Selecting Media Type (Cassettes 1 to 4) Specifies the media type to the cassette 1 to 4. These cassettes support the following media type. Plain, Preprinted, Bond, Recycled, Rough, Letterhead, Color (Colour), Prepunched, High Quality and Custom 1-8 The setting of Cassette 1 is shown here as an example, select 27.Casst2MedType, 28.Casst3MedType and 29.Casst4MedType in the System Menu before selecting Cassette 2, 3 and 4 (option), respectively. 1 Display the System Menu. (Refer to System Menu Operation Procedures on page 5-7.) System Menu: 26.Casst1MedType 2 Press or to select select 26.Casst1MedType, and then press the OK key. 3 Press or to select the desired media type, 5 and then press the OK key. The display will return to that of Step 2. Specifying the Paper Weight and 2-sided Copying to Custom Paper Assigns one of the following paper weights to the Custom Paper and determines whether 2-sided copying is allowed when using the custom paper. Up to 8 custom paper settings are configurable. Extra Heavy, Heavy3, Heavy2, Heavy1, Normal3, Normal2, Normal1 and Light (Vellum) The setting of Custom 1 is shown here as an example, select 31.CustmMedType2, 32.CustmMedType3, 33.CustmMedType4, 34.CustmMedType5, 35.CustmMedType6, 36.CustmMedType7 and 37.CustmMedType8 in the System Menu before selecting Custom 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, respectively. NOTE: 2-sided Copying setting will be displayed only when the optional Duplex Unit is installed. Refer to the following media types and weights (g/m2) Extra Heavy - OHP sheet Heavy 3 - from 171 to 209 g/m2 Heavy 2 - from 136 to 170 g/m2 Heavy 1 - from 106 to 135 g/m2 Normal 3 - from 91 to 105 g/m2 Normal 2 - from 76 to 90 g/m2 Normal 1 - from 60 to 75 g/m2 Light (Vellum) - from 60 to 64 g/m2 System Menu: 30.CustmMedType1 1 Display the System Menu.
