For more information, see Understanding the printer parts. • Paper tray 1 is best for printing on specialty paper because it has a paper type sensor that detects certain types of paper and the paper guide adjusts to various paper sizes. For help, see Using the paper type sensor. • Paper tray 2 is best for printing on A4 or letter size paper because the default setting for this paper tray is for plain paper. The paper guide only adjusts for A4 or letter size paper. If your printer is not feeding paper from the correct paper tray, choose the appropriate paper tray in the printer software.
