Table of Contents Index 117 Communication - Ad Hoc Application Starting the Ad Hoc Application The unit's Ad Hoc Application enable you to stream audio files between units communicating over a one-to-one wireless connection. Note • The settings in "Profile" of "General Settings" in the Tool menu are visible to other users when you use the Ad Hoc Application. Before using the Ad Hoc Application, see the "On handling the personal information" section ( page 205). Turning on the wireless LAN in Ad Hoc mode For more information about the Ad Hoc mode, see the sections of "Wireless LAN Settings - Ad Hoc Mode" in the Start-up Guide. WIRELESS LAN switch/indicator Status indicator  On the Home menu, press / to select "Communication," and then press the center button.  Press / to select "Ad Hoc Application," and then press the center button. The unit automatically turns on the wireless LAN in Ad Hoc mode. The WIRELESS LAN indicator lights up green, and the status indicator lights up orange. When the connection to wireless network in Ad Hoc mode is completed, the Ad Hoc Contact screen appears, and starts blinking on the status bar of the display. A list of nearby users who are online in Ad Hoc mode is displayed. To register a specific user, the user's unit and your unit must both be turned on wireless network in Ad Hoc mode at the same time. Starting the Ad Hoc Application
The unit’s Ad Hoc Application enable you to stream audio files between units
communicating over a one-to-one wireless connection.
Note
• The settings in “Profile” of “General Settings” in the Tool menu are visible to other
users when you use the Ad Hoc Application. Before using the Ad Hoc Application, see
the “On handling the personal information” section (
page 205).
Turning on the wireless LAN in Ad Hoc mode
