Table of Contents Index 47 Communication - Skype...Starting Skype Switching between screens After signing in to Skype, you can switch between the following screens to access various features. Contacts screen After signing in to Skype, the Contacts screen appears. All of your contacts ( page 55) are displayed. When a contact is highlighted, his or her comment is displayed. The meaning of the status icons are described in the table below. Contact Status Icon Status (Online) The default status when the contact has signed in to Skype. (Offline) The contact is not currently signed in to Skype, or has chosen to appear invisible or offline. (Skype Me) The contact is letting everyone know that he or she is available and interested to Skype with them. This includes people whom he or she does not know or have not accepted. (Away) If the contact is signed in to Skype, but has not used his or her unit for a while. If the contact is signed in to Skype, but has not used his or her (Not Available) unit for an extended period of time. (Do not disturb) Use this status to indicate that the contact is busy. (Call forwarding) The contact can redirect incoming Skype calls to another Skype Name, mobile or landline number. (Not The contact has not accepted you yet ( page 56). Accepted Yet) (SkypeOut) This icon means SkypeOut (calls to regular telephones) contact. Continued 

Switching between screens
After signing in to Skype, you can switch between the following screens to
access various features.
Contacts screen
After signing in to Skype, the Contacts screen appears.
All of your contacts (
page 55) are displayed.
When a contact is highlighted, his or her comment is displayed.
The meaning of the status icons are described in the table below.
