Item Secure Print Low Toner Cm or inches Clear Setting Explanation Values: Release All, Delete • Release All: If this menu is configured to Off, Release item in Secure Print menu launches only one file which agrees with the user name and the passcode for the file. If this menu is configured to On, Release item in Secure Print menu releases every file that matches the user name and the passcode. The default is Off. • Delete: You can delete all of the pages regardless of the user name or the passcode. Values: Stop, Continue • Stop: When the toner in the cartridge becomes almost empty, the machine will not resume printing until you install a new Xeroxgenuine print cartridge. • Continue: Even though the toner in the cartridge becomes almost empty, the machine will continue the printing job. Values: cm, inches You can set the unit in the machine with your preferences either in centimeters or inches. This selection affects the following menus. • Simplex Margin in Layout menu. • Custom Size of Tray 1MPT Size in Paper menu. This menu item allows you to restore the printer's factory default settings. Emulation menu Use the Emulation menu to configure printer language emulation. Item Emulation Type Setup Explanation Values: Auto, PCL, PostScript, EPSON, IBM The printer language defines how the computer communicates with the printer. If you select Auto, your printer can change the printer language automatically. Values: PCL, PostScript, EPSON, IBM See the tables on page 2.7 to configure the printer language. Item Hex Mode Explanation Values: Off, On When you set this menu on, the printer will print the unprocessed hex data. PCL This menu sets the PCL emulation configuration. You can set the font type, symbol type, lines per page, and point size. Item Explanation Typeface Values: PCL 1 ~ PCL 54 You can select the standard font to be used in PCL emulation. • PCL 1~PCL 7's interval between letters is fixed, and PCL 8~PCL 45's interval is proportional to the font type and point size. You can adjust the font size of PCL 1~PCL 7 using the Pitch item, and PCL 8~PCL 45 can do using Point Size item. • PCL 46~PCL 54's interval and point size are fixed. Symbol Values: ROMAN8 ~ PCYRIL This item selects the symbol to be used in PCL emulation. The symbol is the group of numbers, marks, and special signs being used when printing letters. The default is PC8. Point Size Values: 4.00 ~ 999.75 (0.25 unit) When you select one between PCL 8 and PCL 45 from the Typeface menu, you can determine the font size by setting the height of the characters in the font. The default is 12.00. Courier Values: Regular, Dark This item lets you select the version of Courier font to use. Pitch Values: 0.44 ~ 99.99 (0.01 unit) When you select a font between PCL 1 and PCL 7 from the Typeface menu, you can determine the font size by setting the number of characters that will print in one horizontal inch of type.
