Item Ethernet Speed Clear Setting Network Info. 802.1x Port 9100 LPR IPP Explanation Values: Auto, 10M Half, 10M Full, 100M Half, 100M Full This item allows you to select the ethernet speed. This item performs a simple reset and restores the factory default settings for the network configuration. This setting will only take effect after you have reset the printer. This item prints a page showing the network parameters you set. Values: Off, On This item is for connecting with an authentication server. If you need to connect this product to an authentication server, set this item On, and select one of the following authentication method. You can select any method which the authentication server supports among EAP-MD5, EAP-MSCHAPv2 and PEAP. Values: Off, On This item lets you select whether or not you use port 9100. • Off: You can disable the Port 9100 printing port. • On: You can enable the Port 9100 printing port. Values: Off, On This item lets you select whether or not you use LPR. • Off: You can disable the LPR printing port. • On: You can enable the LPR printing port. Values: Off, On This item lets you select whether or not you use the IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) network connection. • Off: You can disable the IPP. • On: You can enable the IPP. Printing a demo page Print a demo page to make sure that the printer is operating correctly. 1 Press Menu and then OK when Information appears. 2 Press the Up/down arrow buttons until Demo Page appears and press OK. A demo page prints out. Changing the display language To change the language that is displayed on the control panel, follow these steps: 1 Press Menu until System Setup appears on the bottom line of the display and press OK. 2 Press OK when Language appears. 3 Press the Up/down arrow buttons to select the language you want and press OK. 4 Press Start/Stop to return to Standby mode. 2.9
