Chapter 10 Quality of Service (QoS) The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 33 Network Setting > QoS > Monitor LABEL DESCRIPTION Monitor Refresh Interval Select how often you want the ZyXEL Device to update this screen. Select No Refresh to stop refreshing statistics. Status # This is the index number of the entry. Name This shows the name of the WAN interface on the ZyXEL Device. Pass Rate (bps) This shows how many packets forwarded to this interface are transmitted successfully. Queue Monitor # This is the index number of the entry. Name This shows the name of the queue. Interface This shows the interface of the queue. Pass Rate (bps) This shows how many packets assigned to this queue are transmitted successfully. Drop Rate (bps) This shows how many packets assigned to this queue are dropped. 10.6 QoS Technical Reference This section provides some technical background information about the topics covered in this chapter. 10.6.1 IEEE 802.1Q Tag The IEEE 802.1Q standard defines an explicit VLAN tag in the MAC header to identify the VLAN membership of a frame across bridges. A VLAN tag includes the 12-bit VLAN ID and 3-bit user priority.
