Chapter 1 Introducing the ZyXEL Device Table 1 LED Descriptions LED POWER ETHERNET 1-4 DSL INTERNET COLOR Green Red Off Green Off Green Off Green STATUS On Blinking On On Blinking On Blinking On DESCRIPTION The ZyXEL Device is receiving power and ready for use. The ZyXEL Device is performing Power On Self Test (POST). The ZyXEL Device detected an error while self-testing, or there is a device malfunction. The ZyXEL Device is not receiving power. The ZyXEL Device has an Ethernet connection with a device on the Local Area Network (LAN). The ZyXEL Device is sending/receiving data to/from the LAN. The ZyXEL Device does not have an Ethernet connection with the LAN. The DSL line is up. The ZyXEL Device is initializing the DSL line. The DSL line is down. The ZyXEL Device has an IP connection but no traffic. PHONE Red Off Green Orange Off Blinking On On Blinking On Blinking Your device has a WAN IP address (either static or assigned by a DHCP server), PPP negotiation was successfully completed (if used) and the DSL connection is up. The ZyXEL Device is sending or receiving IP traffic. The ZyXEL Device attempted to make an IP connection but failed. Possible causes are no response from a DHCP server, no PPPoE response, PPPoE authentication failed. The ZyXEL Device does not have an IP connection. A SIP account is registered for the phone port. A telephone connected to the phone port has its receiver off of the hook or there is an incoming call. A SIP account is registered for the phone port and there is a voice message in the corresponding SIP account. A telephone connected to the phone port has its receiver off of the hook and there is a voice message in the corresponding SIP account. The phone port does not have a SIP account registered. Refer to the Quick Start Guide for information on hardware connections. 1.6 The RESET Button If you forget your password or cannot access the web configurator, you will need to use the RESET button at the back of the device to reload the factory-default P-2601HN(L)-F1 Series User's Guide 25
