CHAPTER 14 MAC Filter 14.1 Overview This chapter discusses MAC address filtering. The MAC filter screen allows you to configure the ZyXEL Device to give exclusive access to up to 32 wireless or wired clients (Allow) based on the MAC address of the wireless/wired clients. Note: The MAC filter applies to wired and wireless connections. 14.1.1 What You Need to Know Every Ethernet device has a unique MAC (Media Access Control) address. The MAC address is assigned at the factory and consists of six pairs of hexadecimal characters, for example, 00:A0:C5:00:00:02.
