Chapter 10 VLAN The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 51 VLAN > Static VLAN> VLAN Profile LABEL Name Mac Learning Unknown Multicast Add Cancel Clear Index Name Mac Learning Unknown Multicast Delete Cancel DESCRIPTION Enter a descriptive name for identification purposes. MAC address learning reduces outgoing broadcast traffic. Select the check box to enable MAC address learning in a VLAN. Specify the action to perform when the Switch receives an unknown multicast frame for a VLAN. Select flooding to send the frame(s) to all ports in the VLAN. Click Add to save the new settings to the Switch. It then displays in the summary table at the bottom of the screen. Click Cancel to reset the fields to your previous configuration. Click Clear to clear the fields to the factory defaults. This field displays the index number of a profile. This field displays the descriptive name of a profile. Click an index number to edit the profile. This field displays whether MAC address learning is enabled. This field displays the action the Switch takes on an unknown multicast frame received for the VLAN. Check the profile(s) that you want to remove in the Delete column and then click the Delete button. Click Cancel to clear the selected checkbox(es) in the Delete column. 136 VES1724-56 User's Guide
