Chapter 10 VLAN Note: MAC based VLAN applies to un-tagged packets and is applicable only when you use IEEE 802.1Q tagged VLAN. Table 55 VLAN > VLAN Port Setting > MAC Based VLAN LABEL Active Name MAC Address VID Priority Add Cancel Index Active Name MAC Address VID Priority Delete Cancel Paging DESCRIPTION Check this box to activate this MAC based VLAN. Enter up to 32 alpha numeric characters to identify this MAC based VLAN. Enter the MAC address in valid MAC address format, that is, six hexadecimal character pairs. Enter the ID of a VLAN with which the untagged frames from the MAC address specified in this MAC based VLAN are tagged. This must be an existing VLAN which you defined in the Advanced Application > VLAN screens. Select the priority level that the Switch will assign to frames belonging to this VLAN. Click Add to save your changes to the Switch's run-time memory. The Switch loses these changes if it is turned off or loses power, so use the Save link on the top navigation panel to save your changes to the non-volatile memory when you are done configuring. Click Cancel to change the fields back to their last saved values. This is the index number identifying this MAC based VLAN. Click on any of these numbers to edit an existing MAC based VLAN. This field shows whether the MAC based VLAN is active or not. This field shows the name the MAC based VLAN. This field shows the MAC address for this MAC based VLAN. This field shows the VLAN ID of the frames which belong to this MAC based VLAN. This field shows the priority which is assigned to frames belonging to this MAC based VLAN. Click this to delete the protocol based VLANs which you marked for deletion. Click Cancel to begin configuring this screen afresh. Select Prev or Next to show the previous/next screen or select a page number from the drop-down list box to display a specific page if all entries cannot be seen in one screen.
