Chapter 14 Spanning Tree Protocol 14.2 Spanning Tree Protocol Status Screen The Spanning Tree Protocol status screen changes depending on what standard you choose to implement on your network. Click Advanced Application > Spanning Tree Protocol to see the screen as shown. Figure 97 Advanced Application > Spanning Tree Protocol This screen differs depending on which STP mode (RSTP, MRSTP or MSTP) you configure on the Switch. This screen is described in detail in the section that follows the configuration section for each STP mode. Click Configuration to activate one of the STP standards on the Switch. 14.3 Spanning Tree Configuration Use the Spanning Tree Configuration screen to activate one of the STP modes on the Switch. Click Configuration in the Advanced Application > Spanning Tree Protocol. Table 63 Advanced Application > Spanning Tree Protocol > Configuration LABEL Spanning Tree Mode Apply Cancel DESCRIPTION You can activate one of the STP modes on the Switch. Select Rapid Spanning Tree, Multiple Rapid Spanning Tree or Multiple Spanning Tree. See Section 14.1 on page 160 for background information on STP. Click Apply to save your changes to the Switch's run-time memory. The Switch loses these changes if it is turned off or loses power, so use the Save link on the top navigation panel to save your changes to the non-volatile memory when you are done configuring.
