Handling Calls Transferring Two Existing Calls The 6739i allows you to perform a transfer of a call when there are currently two active calls on the phone. For example, on your phone, there are two calls - Call on L1 and Call on L2. L1 is on hold. L2 has an active call in focus. You can perform the following to transfer L2 to L1. 1. Press the Key or the Transfer . 2. Press the "Lines" key. The Line keys display on the screen. 3. Press L1 where the call is on hold. L2 is transferred to L1. Completing a Transfer to a Contact in Phone Directory Users can complete a blind transfer to a contact in their local directory. If a user is in a call and initiates a transfer, they can navigate to the Directory screen where a new transfer key can be pressed to complete a blind transfer. There is no change to start a consultative call. When a directory entry is shown, a Transfer key can be pressed to trigger a blind transfer. The Transfer softkey has been added to the contact card in the directory and will only appear if a transfer has been initiated. From this screen, by pressing Dial you can do a consultative transfer and by pressing Transfer you can complete a blind transfer. To Transfer a Call to a Contact in the Phone Directory: 1. Connect to Party 1 (if not already connected). Party 1 is the party you want to transfer. 2. Press the Key or the Transfer . You should hear a dial tone as a second line opens up. 3. Press the Directory key and select a contact. 4. To complete a blind transfer, press the Transfer Key again before the receiving end answers. To complete a consultative transfer, press Dial to call the contact. Remain on the line to speak with Party 2 before pressing the Transfer key again to transfer Party 1 to Party 2. Transferring Two Existing Calls
The 6739i allows you to perform a transfer of a call when there are currently two active calls on the phone. For example,
on your phone, there are two calls - Call on L1 and Call on L2. L1 is on hold. L2 has an active call in focus. You can perform
the following to transfer L2 to L1.
Completing a Transfer to a Contact in Phone Directory
Users can complete a blind transfer to a contact in their local directory. If a user is in a call and initiates a transfer, they can
