Additional Features This section describes additional features you can use on the 6739i phone. Star Codes All of the main call handling and extension management features using star codes can be set on your phone by your Administrator. Contact your System Administrator for more information. If these have not been set up, you can dial any star code commands on the 6739i phone the same way you would on a regular telephone. Call Waiting The call waiting feature notifies the user on an active call, of a new incoming call. Call Waiting can be enabled/disabled by your System Administrator only. If Call Waiting is enabled on your phone, an audible tone is heard on the active line indicating a call is coming in. The Call Waiting Tone is enabled by default. You can disable it using the Aastra Web UI at the path Basic Settings->Preferences. You can also set the Call Waiting Tone Period which specifies the time period, in seconds, that the call waiting tone is audible on an active call when another call comes in. If you disable call waiting on the phone, and the user is on a call, any further incoming calls receive busy unless "Call Forward Busy" or "Call Forward No Answer and Busy" is configured on the phone (for information on "Call Forward Account-Based Configuration", see page 156.) It then forwards the call according to the rule configured. If Call Waiting is disabled, the phone can: • transfer the currently active call • or • accept transferred calls if there are no active calls • treat intercom calls as regular incoming calls and reject them In addition, the Missed Calls List does not get updated with details of calls. The Blind Transfer feature on the phone may not work if two calls are made to the phone at one time. 166 41-001317-05 REV01 - 06.2013
