Introduction Adaptec File Saver Default Settings Adaptec File Saver will start each time you log onto your computer, and will back up your files based on default settings that are suitable for most users. By default, Adaptec File Saver: ■ Backs up all local hard disk drives. ■ Backs up files one minute after they are saved. ■ Creates a new version of a backup file once every 24 hours. If you want a new version to be created each time you save a file instead of once per day, see Editing the Minimum Save Time Between Versions on page 3-20 for help changing this setting. ■ Retains the five most current backup versions of a file. ■ Compresses backed up files. ■ Applies standard exclusions, such as operating system folders and files, temporary files, and cache files. ■ Does not back up temporary files. Adaptec File Saver Default Settings
Adaptec File Saver will start each time you log onto your computer,
and will back up your files based on default settings that are
suitable for most users. By default, Adaptec File Saver:
Backs up all local hard disk drives.
Backs up files one minute after they are saved.
Creates a new version of a backup file once every 24 hours.
