Changing Your Backup Settings Changing the Advanced Settings The settings on the Advanced tab should remain at their default settings. ! Caution: Adaptec recommends that you do not change any settings on the Advanced tab. To view the Advanced tab settings, open the Advanced Settings window (see page 3-12), then click the Advanced tab. The current settings for these options are displayed: ■ Delay Initialization-By default, this setting is selected and set to 30 seconds. The computer starts Adaptec File Saver after it has started other programs and applications and has established connections to network drives. ■ Display the splash screen at startup-By default, this setting is selected and set to four seconds. The Adaptec File Saver splash screen displays on the computer desktop for the first four seconds when the computer starts Adaptec File Saver. 3-21

The settings on the Advanced tab should remain at their default

Caution:
Adaptec recommends that you do not change any
settings on the Advanced tab.
To view the Advanced tab settings, open the Advanced Settings
window (see
page 3-12
), then click the
Advanced
tab. The current
settings for these options are displayed:
Delay Initialization
—By default, this setting is selected and set
to 30 seconds. The computer starts Adaptec File Saver after it
has started other programs and applications and has
established connections to network drives.
Display the splash screen at startup
