Changing Your Backup Settings 5 Select and deselect file types for backup by clicking inside their checkboxes. A checkmark inside a box means the file type will be backed up. No checkmark means the file type will not be backed up. Note: File types normally excluded by default (temporary files, for example) are automatically excluded. You can view a list of these files on the Exclude tab (see page 3-14) 6 Click Next. Five tabs appear, from which you can manage your backup settings at a more advanced level. You can review current settings and make customized adjustments, if required. (See Customizing Backup Settings - Advanced on page 3-12 for more information.) 7 Make any changes required, click Next, then click Finish. If you have made changes to your backup settings, Adaptec File Saver scans your files and does a backup, if required. Note: If you have selected items for backup based on file type and application, you should work through this Wizard each time you install a new application on your computer. 3-9
