Changing Your Backup Settings Files normally excluded by default (Internet cache files, for example) are automatically selected for exclusion. You can view a list of these files on the Exclude tab (see page 3-14). 5 Select file categories or file types for exclusion from backup by clicking inside their checkboxes. A checkmark inside a box means the file type will not be backed up. No checkmark means the file type will be backed up. By default, this Wizard backs up all local drives. 6 Click Next. Five tabs appear, from which you can manage your backup settings at a more advanced level. You can review current settings and make customized adjustments. (See Customizing Backup Settings - Advanced on page 3-12 for more information.) 7 Make any changes required, click Next, then click Finish. If you have made changes to your backup settings, Adaptec File Saver scans your files and does a backup, if required. 3-11
