Viewing and Managing Your Backup Files Deleting Older Versions of a Backup File You can delete all old versions of a selected backup file without having to search for them first. To delete all old versions of a backup file: 1 Open the Tree view, following the instructions in Viewing Your Backup Files on page 5-2. 2 In the view window, click the backup file whose older versions you want to delete. (You can select multiple backup files, if necessary.) 3 In the Tools menu, select Advanced, select Delete, then select Old Revisions. 4 Click Yes to confirm the deletion. All old versions of the selected backup file are deleted. The newest version of the selected backup file is retained and the original file remains intact on your computer. Deleting Files If the Originals Are Deleted You can delete all versions of all backup files that do not have matching original files on your computer. Because Adaptec File Saver does the work of comparing your backup files with your original files, this is a time-efficient way of making storage space available for new backup files. To delete backup files without matching original files: 1 Open the Tree view, following the instructions in Viewing Your Backup Files on page 5-2. 2 In the Tools menu, select Advanced, select Delete, then select If Original Deleted. 3 Click Yes to confirm the deletion. Deleting Older Versions of a Backup File
You can delete all old versions of a selected backup file without
