Changing Your Backup Settings Editing the Minimum Save Time Between Versions By default, Adaptec File Saver creates one version of a backup file every 24 hours, or 1440 minutes. (Therefore, on any given day, the only version of a file that is backed up is the last version you save for that day.) You can change this setting to suit your needs. For instance, if you want Adaptec File Saver to create a new version of a backup file each time you save the file, change the minimum save time between versions to 0. To edit the minimum save time between versions: 1 Open the Advanced Settings window (see page 3-12), then click the Versions tab. 2 In the Minimum save time between versions box, type a number or use the up and down arrows to specify a number. To create a new version of a backup file each time you save the file, change the minimum save time between versions to 0. 3 Click Next, then click Finish. The change takes effect immediately. 3-20
