Viewing and Managing Your Backup Files Viewing File Properties File property information is available for every backup file. To view file properties: 1 Open the Adaptec File Saver window by double-clicking the icon on your desktop or system tray. 2 In the main menu (shown on page page 2-2), click Views and Advanced Tools. The Tree view opens. (It may take several moments for the Tree view content to display.) 3 Select the file you want. 4 In the View menu, select File Properties. The File Properties window opens, showing two tabs of information. 5 Click the General and Storage tabs to view basic storage information about the file, such as its original location, number of versions, and backup file location. You can also restore or delete selected backup file versions from the File Properties window. See Restoring Backup Files on page 5-9 and Deleting Backup Files on page 5-14 for more information. 6 Click OK to close the window. Backing Up All Pending Files You can immediately back up all files in your backup queue (see page 1-2). You might want to do this if your computer needs to be disconnected from the network, or if you need to immediately power down your computer. To backup the files in your backup queue: 1 Open the Tree view, following the instructions in Viewing Your Backup Files on page 5-2. 2 In the Tools menu, select Advanced, then select Backup all pending files now. All files in your backup queue are immediately backed up, and the backup queue is cleared. 5-7

Viewing File Properties
File property information is available for every backup file.
To view file properties:
