Changing Your Backup Settings Selecting Backup Items from Applications on Your Computer If you are not sure where your files are stored, or if you want to backup files from certain applications only, this Wizard can help you select items for backup by application. ! Caution: When you use this Wizard, any previous customized settings are removed. To select items for backup based on the applications installed on your computer: 1 Open the Adaptec File Saver window by clicking the icon on your desktop or system tray. 2 In the main menu (shown on page page 2-2), click Change Backup Settings. 3 Select Advanced Settings, then click Next. The Advanced Settings window opens. 4 Select Backup wizard - Select by applications installed on my computer, then click Next. The Installed Applications window opens, listing all the applications on your computer, and their associated file types. 3-8

backup files from certain applications only, this Wizard can help
you select items for backup by application.
Caution:
When you use this Wizard, any previous customized
settings are removed.
To select items for backup based on the applications installed on
your computer:

Open the Adaptec File Saver window by clicking the icon on
your desktop or system tray.
