WiseImage - User's Guide Selecting Procedure A raster selection set can be composed from raster parts selected from various images. Selecting procedure may consist of several steps. On each one step raster data selection is only made on one image. The selected raster data is highlighted with a color on the screen. Selecting an image, in order to select raster from it, is performed according to the following rule. If there is only one available (visible, located on an unlocked layer) monochrome image, then the selection procedure will be made on it. Otherwise you should select an image to perform data selection. You can select an image (as an AutoCAD object) either before or after running the command with the selection dialog box. * For more information on the selection procedure see "Selecting a Single Image" on page 19. The selected raster data is highlighted with a color on the screen. This color is specified in the Colors folder of the WiseImage tab. See this folder description on page 33. You can construct raster selection set in a few steps. For example, first you can choose a single raster object, then add some more objects to the selection set, and after that you can remove some of the previously selected raster data from the selection. The current Selection mode defines whether a raster part selected during the current step of raster selection composition in a single selection is removed or added. Making a raster data selection for both adding to and removing from the selection set is performed in a similar way. The current selection mode defines what is to happen to the raster data that is selected. The selected mode remains active until you choose another mode or complete the selection procedure. By default, the Single mode is always on. Selecting raster data with this mode deselects all previously selected raster data on the current image. With only Single on, the selection set in the current image only contains the data selected during the latest procedure step. To obtain a selection set that contains additional raster data, you should turn on the Add mode; in order to remove the selected data you should turn on the Remove mode, and perform selection on the data that forms the current selection set. The data removed from the selection set is not highlighted. The WiseImage commands, that work on monochrome raster images, such as filtration and vectorization, are applied to a raster set. So, you should select raster data prior to invoking the editing command. If the editing command does not change the position or size of the selection set, then you can continue creating the selection after the command. If you want to apply the operation to the entire raster image, or to several ones at the same time, then you will need to dismiss the selection. 124
