Synthesizer Mode I Resonance Resonance enhances the harmonic components in the vicinity of the cutoff frequency, which creates a distinctive sound. A larger resonance value enhances the sound as shown in the figure. Level Cut off frequency Small Value Resonance Frequency Large Value NOTE • With some tones, a large resonance value can cause distortion or noise during the attack part of the tone.
