In Windows Me and Windows 2000, double-click the speaker icon in the lower-right corner of your screen. Be sure that the volume is turned up and that the sound is not muted. C H EC K TH E V O LU M E C ON T R OL B U TT O N S - Press both volume control buttons simultaneously or press to disable (mute) or reenable the integrated speakers. R EI N S T AL L T H E SO U N D ( AU D I O ) D R I VE R- See page50. HINT: The volume control in some MP3 players overrides the Windows volume setting. If you have been listening to MP3 songs, make sure that you did not turn the player volume down or off. External Speakers E NSURE THA T T HE SUB WOO F ER A ND T HE SPE AKE R S A RE T UR NED O N - See the setup diagram supplied with the speakers.
