Disconnect the keyboard backlight power cable from the back of the keyboard. 9. Disconnect the keyboard backlight cable from the touch screen splice coming from the mother board. Remove the Kapton tape that secures the spliced cable and the backlight power cable in place.

Disconnect the keyboard backlight power cable from the back of the keyboard.
9.
Disconnect the keyboard backlight cable from the touch screen splice coming from the mother
board.
If this is a touch screen system, also disconnect the keyboard to backlight cable from
the touch screen splice coming from the LCD.
