For example, based on your network deployment, you may want the uplink LAG bundle to be activated only if a certain number of member interface links is also in the up state. If you enable this setting, the uplink LAG bundle is brought up only when the specified minimum number of links are up and the LAG bundle is moved to the down state when the number of active links in the LAG becomes less than the specified number of interfaces. By default, the uplink LAG 128 interface is activated when at least one member interface is up. To configure the minimum number of member links that must be up for a LAG bundle to be fully up, perform the following steps: Specify the minimum number of member interfaces of the uplink LAG 128 bundle that must be up for the LAG bundle to be brought up. The default minimum number of member links that must be active for the uplink LAG to be active is 1. Enter the minimum-links number command in the Port Channel Interface 128 Configuration mode to specify this value. Link Aggregation 127

Configuring the Minimum Number of Links to be Up for

Uplink LAGs to be Active

You can activate the LAG bundle for uplink interfaces or ports (the uplink port-channel is LAG 128) on the

I/O Aggregator only when a minimum number of member interfaces of the LAG bundle is up. For

example, based on your network deployment, you may want the uplink LAG bundle to be activated only if

a certain number of member interface links is also in the up state. If you enable this setting, the uplink

LAG bundle is brought up only when the specified minimum number of links are up and the LAG bundle

is moved to the down state when the number of active links in the LAG becomes less than the specified

number of interfaces. By default, the uplink LAG 128 interface is activated when at least one member

interface is up.

To configure the minimum number of member links that must be up for a LAG bundle to be fully up,

perform the following steps:

Specify the minimum number of member interfaces of the uplink LAG 128 bundle that must be up for

the LAG bundle to be brought up. The default minimum number of member links that must be active

for the uplink LAG to be active is 1. Enter the
