In addition to the above characters, CODE 128 also provides the following special characters. • Shift character (SHIFT) The code set A handles the character right after SHIFT as a character of the code set B. The code set B handles the character right after SHIFT as a character of the code set A. SHIFT cannot be used in the code set C. • Code set selection character (CODE A, CODE B, CODE C) Changes the subsequent code set to A, B or C. • Function character (FNC1, FNC 2, FNC3, FNC4) The purpose of the function character changes depending on the application. CODE 128 Barcode
The CODE 128 barcode allows a single barcode character to represent one character of a full-
ASCII 128-character set or two-digit number from among the combinations of 103 different
barcode characters and three different code sets.
Code set A: Can represent ASCII characters 00H to 5FH.
Code set B: Can represent ASCII characters 20H to 7FH.
Code set C: One character can represent a two-digit number (100 numbers from 00 to 99).
In addition to the above characters, CODE 128 also provides the following special characters.
Shift character (SHIFT)
The code set A handles the character right after SHIFT as a character of the code set B.
The code set B handles the character right after SHIFT as a character of the code set A.
SHIFT cannot be used in the code set C.
Code set selection character (CODE A, CODE B, CODE C)
