For a more environmentally responsible return of used cartridges and supplies, HP encourages the use of bulk returns. Simply bundle two or more cartridges together and use the single, pre-paid, pre-addressed UPS label that is supplied in the package. Saving toner To save toner, select the EconoMode option in your device properties settings. (For more information, see To use EconoMode (to save toner).) While in EconoMode (Save Toner), the device uses less toner on each page. Selecting this option extends the life of the print cartridge and reduces your cost per page, but it also reduces print quality. HP does not recommend the full-time use of EconoMode.
