Steps to manually clean your print cartridges and print cartridge cradle: 1 Remove the print cartridges a. Turn the printer on and lift the printer's top cover. b. The print cartridge cradle moves to the center of the printer. c. After the cradle has moved to the center of the printer, unplug the black power cord from the back of the printer. d. Remove the print cartridges and place them on their sides on a scrap piece of paper. Warning Keep new and used print cartridges out of the reach of children. Caution Once you've removed the print cartridges, make sure that they are not outside of the printer for more than 30 minutes. Note: Be careful not to touch the ink nozzles or the copper contacts. Touching these parts of the print cartridge can result in clogs, ink failure, or bad electrical connections. 64

Steps to manually clean your print cartridges and print
cartridge cradle:

Remove the print cartridges
a. Turn the printer
on
and lift the printer’s top cover.
b. The print cartridge cradle moves to the center of the
printer.
c. After the cradle has moved to the center of the printer,
unplug
the black power cord from the back of the printer.
d. Remove the print cartridges and place them on their sides
on a scrap piece of paper.
Keep new and used print cartridges out of the
reach of children.
Once you’ve removed the print cartridges, make
sure that they are not outside of the printer for
more than 30 minutes.
