To release the media interposer card from the chassis, press down on the two blue touchpoints on the rectangular steel flaps ( 1 ) that lie flush with the chassis structure near the base of the media interposer card. 7. Pull the media interposer card out of the server. To install the media interposer card, reverse the preceding steps. Note: When inserting the media interposer card into the server, angle the card so that the left side of the card goes in first and fits against the metal lip on the chassis. Read "Handling static-sensitive devices" on page 30. Complete the following steps to remove the SCSI backplane: 1. Turn off the server and all peripheral devices; then, disconnect all power cords and external cables. 2. Remove the top cover (see "Removing the cover and bezel" on page 32). It is not necessary to remove the front bezel. 3. Pull the hard disk drives out of the server slightly to disengage them from the SCSI backplane. 4. Disconnect the SCSI cable from the SCSI backplane. 5. Disconnect the cable connecting the I/O board to the media interposer card. backplane.

Complete the following steps to remove the SCSI backplane:
1.
Turn off the server and all peripheral devices; then, disconnect all power cords
and external cables.
2.
Remove the top cover (see “Removing the cover and bezel” on page 32). It is
not necessary to remove the front bezel.
3.
Pull the hard disk drives out of the server slightly to disengage them from the
SCSI backplane.
4.
Disconnect the SCSI cable from the SCSI backplane.
5.
Disconnect the cable connecting the I/O board to the media interposer card.
Note:
This is the only cable that should be disconnected from the media
interposer card.
