For memory scan: Program 2 or more memory channels except scan edge memory channels. • Scan resume ON/OFF You can select the scan to resume or cancel when detecting a signal, in set mode. Scan resume ON/OFF must be set before operating a scan. See p. 45 for ON/OFF setting and scan resume condition details. • Scan speed Scan speed can be selected from 2 levels, high or low, in Initial set mode. See p. 45 for details. • Squelch condition Scan start with Programmed scan Memory scan Squelch open The scan continues until it is stopped manually, and does not pause even if it detects signals. Scan pauses on each channel when the scan resume is ON; not applicable when OFF. Scan stops when detecting a signal. Squelch open closed If you set scan resume ON in Initial set mode, the scan pauses for 10 sec. when detecting a signal, then resumes. When a signal disap- pears while scan is paused, scan resumes 2 sec. later. 39

Preparation
•Channels
For programmed scan/auto memory write scan:
Program scan edge frequencies into scan edge mem-
ory channels P1 and P2.
For memory scan:
Program 2 or more memory channels except scan
edge memory channels.
•Scan resume ON/OFF
You can select the scan to resume or cancel when de-
tecting a signal, in set mode. Scan resume ON/OFF
must be set before operating a scan. See p. 45 for
ON/OFF setting and scan resume condition details.
•Scan speed
Scan speed can be selected from 2 levels, high or low,
in Initial set mode. See p. 45 for details.
•Squelch condition
