Replacing the Power Distribution Board Warning: Hazardous voltage, current, and energy levels are present inside the power supply. There are no user-serviceable parts inside it; servicing should be done by technically qualified personnel. 1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions in "Safety Information" on page 129. 2. Turn off all peripheral devices connected to the server. Turn off the server. 3. Disconnect the AC power cord from the server. 4. Remove the chassis cover. For instructions, see "Removing the Chassis Cover" on page 24. 5. Remove the air duct. For instructions, see "Removing the Processor Air Duct" on page 68. 6. If present, remove the shipping screw that secures the hot swap power supply to the chassis. See letter "A" in the following figure. 7. Press on green latch.while pulling on handle to remove power supply from the server system. See letter "B". 8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the second hot swap power supply if one is installed. 1.
Observe the safety and ESD precautions in
“Safety Information” on page 129

2.
Turn off all peripheral devices connected to the server. Turn off the server.
3.
Disconnect the AC power cord from the server.
4.
Remove the chassis cover. For instructions, see
“Removing the Chassis Cover” on
page 24
.
5.
Remove the air duct. For instructions, see
“Removing the Processor Air Duct” on
page 68
.
6.
If present, remove the shipping screw that secures the hot swap power supply to the
chassis. See letter “A” in the following figure.
7.
Press on green latch.while pulling on handle to remove power supply from the
server system. See letter “B”.
8.
Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the second hot swap power supply if one is installed.
