Airplane Mode Airplane Mode turns off all your wireless connections and allows you to use many of your phone's features when you are in an airplane or in any other area where calls and data are prohibited. When you set your phone to Airplane Mode, it cannot send or receive any calls or access online information. n From home, tap Apps - or - > Settings > More > Airplane mode. From any screen, swipe down from the status bar with two fingers to open Quick Settings and tap Airplane mode Default SMS App You can choose either Hangouts or Messaging to text message your friends. Hangouts is an instant messaging app that uses your Google account to keep you in touch with friends and family. You can change your default choice any time. n From home, tap Apps > Settings l Tap Hangouts or Messaging. > More > Default SMS app. VPN Settings You can set up a Virtual Private Network (VPN). Select basic or advanced options. For details on using VPN, see Virtual Private Networks (VPN). You can connect to a Virtual Private Network (VPN). A VPN lets you access files on a secured network (like an office network with a firewall). Contact the network administrator to ask for VPN settings, and any additional apps or other requirements. 1. (Optional) Tap PPP encryption (MPPE) to deselect it 6. (Optional) Tap Advanced and enter information from your network administrator.
