Voice Input You can customize voice recognition or choose to use basic recognition only Customization allows more interaction and hotwords you define. n From home, tap Apps > Settings > Language & input > Voice Input. Voice Search Set up the options your phone uses when you search by using voice commands or when it can respond to you with text-to-voice. n From home, tap Apps > Settings > Language & input > Voice Search to set the following settings for voice recognition: l Language: Select a language. l Speech output: Select Always, Informative only, or Hands-free only. l Block offensive words: Hide recognized offensive text. l Hotword detection: Say "OK Google" to launch voice search. l Offline speech recognition: Enables voice input while offline. l Personalized recognition: Improve speech recognition accuracy. l Google Account dashboard: Manage your collected data. l Bluetooth headset: Records audio through Bluetooth headset if available. Text-to-speech Output Set up your phone's speech synthesis engine and speech rate. n From home, tap Apps > Settings > Language & input > Text-to-speech output for the following settings: l Google Text-to-speech Settings: Sets the language for the spoken voice. l Speech rate: Speed at which the text is spoken. l Listen to an example: Play a short demonstration of speech synthesis that matches the settings you select in Speech rate. l Default language status: Shows if the selected language is fully supported.
