Add ACL Remarks You can use the remark keyword to include comments (remarks) for ACL rule entries in a MAC or IP ACL. Remarks can help you and other users to understand ACL rules. Each remark line is limited to 100 characters. Remarks can consist of characters in the range A-Z, a-z, and 0-9 and of special characters such as spaces, hyphens, and underscores. If you want to create remarks for a permit or deny rule, you must create the remarks before you create the rule. If you remove a rule, all associated remarks are removed as well. If remarks are no longer applicable, you can remove them. You can also add remarks to a MAC or IP ACL without adding any rules, save the remarks, and add the rules later.
