Customize your phone • IDENTIFY CALLERS BY CUSTOM RINGING TONES You can assign a ringing tone to an entry in your phone book, allowing you to identify the caller by the tone you hear when they call. To use this feature, you must subscribe to the Caller ID service that is available from your service provider. If a caller blocks Caller ID, your phone will use the Normal ringing tone instead of the custom tone. If the ringing option for the current profile is set to Silent, your phone will not ring with a normal tone or a custom tone. Twenty of the entries in your phone book can have a custom tone assigned to them. Assign these custom tones with this procedure: 1 In your phone book, find the entry where you will assign the custom ringing tone. 2 Press Details, then Options (or, if the scrolling view for your phone book is set to Name+number, just press Options). 3 Scroll to Custom tone, and press Select. 12 4 Scroll through the ringing tones list until the desired tone is highlighted. • If you wait a moment while a tone is highlighted, your phone will play the tone. • To remove assignment of the custom tone from the entry, select Default. 5 Press OK. • PRESS ANY KEY TO ANSWER A CALL 1 This feature allows you to answer an incoming call by pressing any key except the End key or the Power key . The default setting for this feature is On. To enable or disable Anykey answer, press Menu 4-1-4. [ 55 ]
