Remote Control of Other Components Using Remote Control with Other Components CD/MD/CD-R/VCR/DVD/LD/DVD recorder/Cassette Deck operations memo • The following operations are available from the receiver's remote control after you program it (see "Setting Up the Remote Control to Control Other Components," pages 62-65). • To perform these operations, press the MULTI CONTROL button for the component you want to control. • For more information on individual commands consult the manual that came with the component. Button(s) Function SOURCE Press to switch the components between STANDBY and ON. 4 ¢ Press to return to the start of the current track or chapter. Repeated presses skips to the start of previous tracks or chapter. Go back channels (channel −). Play the reverse side of the tape on a reversible deck. Press to advance to the start of the next track or chapter. Repeated presses skips to the start of following tracks or chapter. Go forward channels (channel +). 8 Pause playback or recording. ¡ Hold down for fast forward playback. 1 Hold down for fast reverse playback. 3 Start playback. 7 Stop playback (on some models, pressing this when the disc is already stopped will cause the disc tray to open). ¶ Starts recording. SUBTITLE/ DISP MODE Button Number Buttons +10 Button ENTER/DISC Button Displays/changes the subtitles on multilingual DVDs. Change the display mode. Directly access tracks on a program source. Directly access chapter on a program source. Directly select a channel. Select tracks or chapter higher than 10. Press this button and the remaining number to get the track or chapter (+10 Button + 3= track or chapter 13). Some components may operate differently. Press to start Search mode. Takes you to the disc navigator. Changes between sides A & B of the disc. Press to enter the selected channel. MENU AUDIO Selects a disc in a multi-disc CD player. Displays menus concerning the current DVD, DVR or VCR you are using. Changes the audio track of discs with more than one audio track. Changes between the tuner in the TV and the tuner in the VCR. 66 TOP MENU /GUIDE button RETURN/ EXIT button 2 3 5∞ & ENTER Play the reverse side of the tape on a reversible cassette deck. Displays the top menu of the current DVD, LD or DVR you are using. Takes you to the guide menu of that system. Press to select a track Takes you to the previous menu. Navigate menus/options. Basic playback options.
