Fine Tuning Your System THX CINEMA Setup This setup lets you choose which decoding method for 2 channel sources the receiver will use for THX CINEMA. For more information on the decoding (playback) formats see "Techno Tidbits" starting on page 105. SETUP 2 S0URCE TV SYSTEM RECEIVER OFF DVD/LD TV/SAT VCR1/ DVR MULTI CONTROL VCR2 VIDEO CD TV CONT MULTI OPERATION CD-R/ TAPE1 MD/ TAPE2 TUNER RECEIVER DIMMER LOUDNESS 1 2 TONE EFFECT/CH SEL 3 4 SIGNAL SEL 5 VIDEO SEL 9 DNR BASS/TREBLE + 6 7 8 HI-BIT +10 - DISC 0 ENTER SYSTEM SETUP DIRECT ACCESS SEARCH MODE GUIDE MENU TOP MENU TUNER EDIT ENTER TRACK EXIT AUDIO RETURN MPX ¶ TUN NG DTV ON/OFF 8 BAND DISP MODE SUB TITLE TUN NG + 3-6 2 1 3-6 STANDBY/ON MOVIE MUSIC ENTER MULTI JOG STANDBY MULTI JOG CONTROL SET UP RETURN SIGNAL HI-BIT SELECT HI-SAMPLING SB CH MODE BAND PHONES SPEAKERS TONE TONE CONTROL BASS/TREBLE (If you are continuing from page 89 you can skip the first two steps.) 1 Turn on the receiver and your TV, press RECEIVER on the remote control. 2 Press the SYSTEM SETUP button. 3 Looking at the on-screen display on your TV, use the 5∞ buttons to select THX CINEMA SETUP. Press the ENTER button. 4 Use the 5∞ buttons to choose either PRO LOGIC ll MOVIE, PRO LOGIC or NEO:6 CINEMA as the decoding method. Press the ENTER button. The default is PRO LOGIC ll MOVIE. 5 EXIT should be selected (if not, use the 5∞ buttons to select it). Press ENTER. 3 System Setup [1. Surround Setup ] [2. THX CINEMA Setup ] [3. Input Assign ] [4. Function Rename ] [5. PHONO/LINE Setup ] [6. Multi Room ] [7. 12V Trigger ] [Exit ] 6 Use the 5∞ buttons to select EXIT and press ENTER, again.
