Resetting Your Phone

Managing Certificates On your phone you can add and delete public key certificates. You can store the following three types of certificates on your phone. ᮣ To access the Certificates options, on the Home screen, select Start ➔ More ➔ Settings ➔ Security ➔ Certificates and press the key. • Personal: help to establish your identity, when you log on to a secured network, such as a corporate network. • Intermediate: Used to identify intermediate certification authorities. • Root: help to establish the identity of servers with which you connect. This helps to prevent unauthorized users from accessing your phone and information. Deleting a Certificate 1. Scroll to the certificate you want on the list. 2. Press the Menu soft key and select Delete. 3. Press the Yes soft key to confirm the deletion. Resetting Your Phone You can reset your phone's settings and clear all added data from memory. Resetting the Phone - Power On 1. On the Home screen, select Start ➔ More ➔ Settings ➔ Security ➔ Master Clear and press the key. 2. Press the Yes soft key to confirm. The phone resets and reboots itself. Resetting the Phone - Power Off 1. While the phone is off, power on the phone while holding the key. 2. The Format Menu displays. 3. Press one of the following keys: • 1 - Master Clear. This option erases user storage. • 2 - Master Reset. This option erases the registry. • 0 - Exit. This option exits the Format Menu without resetting the phone. Changing the Reset Password You can change the reset password to prevent the phone from being reset by unauthorized people. 1. On the Home screen, select Start ➔ More ➔ Settings ➔ Security ➔ Change Reset Password and press the key. 28

Managing Certificates
On your phone you can add and delete public key certificates.
You can store the following three types of certificates on your
phone.

Deleting a Certificate

Scroll to the certificate you want on the list.

Press the

soft key to confirm the deletion.

You can reset your phone’s settings and clear all added data from
