Activating Visibility ᮣ From the Home screen, touch ➔ Settings ➔ Wireless and network ➔ Bluetooth settings and touch Visible. The tablet is now activated for discovery for 119 seconds so you can pair with another device. After 119 seconds the tablet becomes undiscoverable again. Scanning for Devices This option allows you to scan for active Bluetooth devices so you can pair with them. 1. From the Home screen, touch ➔ Settings ➔ Wireless and network ➔ Bluetooth settings and touch Scan devices. Your tablet begins scanning and lists any discovered devices in the Bluetooth devices section. 2. Touch a device name to pair with the device. Important!: Some Bluetooth devices are secured and require a PIN number to confirm and pair with them. 3. Enter a PIN to pair with the device, if one is required, and touch OK. Tethering and Portable Hotspots This option allows you to share your tablet's mobile data connection using the USB connection or as a portable Wi-Fi hotspot. 1. From the Home screen, touch ➔ Settings ➔ Wireless and network ➔ Tethering. 2. Tap USB tethering. A checkmark indicates activation. 3. Tap Help for additional information about USB tethering. VPN settings The VPN settings menu allows you to set up and manage Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). Important!: Before you can use a VPN you must establish and configure one. Adding a VPN Before you add a VPN you must determine which VPN protocol to use: PPTP (Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol), L2TP (Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol), L2TP/IPSec PSK (Pre-shared key based L2TP/IPSec), or L2TP/IPSec CRT (Certificate based L2TP/IPSec). 1.
