C. Misfeed in the exit area

Blocage de papier - extraction 5 Gently pull the drum cartridge out and wrap the removed drum cartridge in the paper which was prepared in step 4 so that the green drum section is shielded from light. Place the drum cartridge down on a level surface. To remove the drum cartridge, see page 31, DRUM CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT. The fusing unit is hot. Do not touch the fusing unit when removing misfed paper. Doing so may cause a burn or other injury. Do not touch the surface of the drum (green portion) of the drum cartridge. Doing so may damage the drum and cause smudges on copies. 5 6 Remove the misfed paper by holding the edge of the paper nearest you and pulling it gently in a straight line. 7 Replace the drum cartridge. (See page 31, DRUM CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT.) 8 Replace theTD cartridge.(See page 29,TD CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT.) 9 Close the front cover. C. Do not pull the misfed paper too hard with the front cover closed, as you may tear it or damage the printing mechanism. Gently pull the drum cartridge out and wrap the removed drum cartridge

C. Misfeed in the exit area
Push gently on both sides of the front cover to open the cover.
Remove the misfed paper from the exit area by holding the edge of the
paper nearest you and pulling it gently in a straight line.

Do not pull the misfed paper too hard with the front cover closed, as
you may tear it or damage the printing mechanism. Be sure to open
the front cover and then remove the misfed paper.
Close the front cover.
