ZOOMING Either manual zoom or power zoom can be used. To make zooming more effective, shoot a still scene for a few seconds at the beginning and the end of zooming. Press T for telephoto and W for wide-angle. For special effects, when extra fast or very slow zooms are required, manual zooming should be used. IRIS ADJUSTMENT The iris is adjusted automatically with the aperture switch set to ■ (center). When shooting a scene with strong contrast such as the ones described as follows, adjust the aperture switch to BACK LIGHT or HIGH LIGHT. • When a backlit shot results in the subject being too dark set to BACK LIGHT. • When a subject is too bright against a dark back ground set to HIGH LIGHT. Notes Be sure the picture in the viewfinder has the proper brightness, when the aperture switch has been set to BACK LIGHT or HIGH LIGHT. Wrong selection of the position results in a picture that is too bright or too dark. 19
