About Opening the Computer Removing the side cover 1. Shut down your computer and turn off all peripheral devices, such as your printer. 2. Unplug your computer and disconnect any peripheral devices. 3. Position the system unit with the back panel facing towards you. 4. Unscrew the side cover release screws located on the edge of the back panel and set them aside. Rem ov ing the release screws 5. When the screws are removed, the side cover is released. Grasp the raised handle on the back edge of the side cover, pulling the cover towards the back of the unit. Rem ov ing the cov er Page 47
